— A Dayton barbecue restaurant has added a weekday to its expanded hours and has launched a happy hour on its patio.
Texas Beef & Cattle Company at 1101 W. Third St. in Dayton, which had been open Thursday through Sunday only, is adding Wednesday hours starting today, Oct. 10, according to the restaurant’s founder, James Nuñez.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“We’ve had dozens of requests from downtowners to be open during lunch on more work days,” Nuñez said. “We’ve also gotten requests from the community to be open for dinner another day.”
Texas Beef & Cattle also now hosts a happy hour on its patio from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday with special pricing on long-neck beers and its house-ground, mesquite-smoked grilled burgers made from brisket, chuck and sirloin, and smoked-then-grilled jumbo chicken wings, Nuñez said.
