UPDATE: Wright-Patterson gate reopens after damage from crash repaired

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB — UPDATE @ 1:55 p.m.:

Gate 1A at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has reopened after repairs were completed to the gate following a crash reported late Sunday night.

🟢 GATE UPDATE: Gate 1A (Fairborn/Commissary Gate) has reopened for normal operating hours, 6 am to 5:30 pm, seven days a week. Thank you for your patience during the temporary closure.

FIRST REPORT:

Gate 1A at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will be closed Monday with the hope of reopening Tuesday after a crash damaged the gate, according to a base spokesperson.

“The closure is expected to be all day, Monday, October 12. We are working diligently to get it repaired and reopened for normal duty hours, Tuesday, October 13,” a base spokesperson said in a social media post late Sunday night.

Base members are asked to use gate 12A until the repairs are completed.
