Crews respond to a report of a gas leak in Moraine early Tuesday morning

MORAINE — Emergency crews responded to a report of a gas leak in Moraine early Tuesday morning.

Around 1 a.m. the fire department was requested to the 4900 block of Mays Avenue.

Initial reports indicate gas may have been leaking from pipes on the side of the road in that area and Vectren was requested to check the scene.

We are working to learn if any gas did leak from the pipes and if anyone was evacuated on the street.
