Woman flown to hospital after crash on I-70 ramp

MAD RIVER TWP., Clark County — UPDATE @ 2:15 p.m.: 

A medical helicopter transported a woman injured in a crash on the Interstate 70 east ramp to Interstate 675 south in Mad River Twp. Thursday afternoon.

The driver of the car, only identified as a woman, was in the lane to exit onto I-675, but changed lanes and attempted to say on I-70 east, according to investigators. When she attempted to change lanes, the car crashed into the semi.

The woman was alert and talking, but was transported for precautionary purposes by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The I-70 east ramp to I-675 south will be blocked until state troopers remove both vehicles from the scene.

Investigators continue to block the I-70 east ramp to I-675 south in Mad River Twp. following a crash involving a car and a semi.

A CareFlight medical helicopter responded to the scene and transported at least one occupant of the car.

The condition and severity of injuries they sustained was not immediately available.

It is unknown how long the ramp will be blocked.

FIRST REPORT

State troopers are blocking the eastbound Interstate 70 ramp to southbound Interstate 675 following a crash Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 12:40 p.m. on reports of a crash between a car and a semi, according to initial reports.

A CareFlight medical helicopter has responded to the scene.
