The Greene County School District on Monday gave away perishable food Bellbrook Middle School had in its refrigerators and coolers.
District employees gave each vehicle that drove up to the school three bags of food.
In about 90 minutes, all the food had been given away to about 11 vehicles.
The food would have been served to school children for lunch. The district didn't want the food to go to waste since the schools are closed.
About five percent of the district's students are on free or reduced lunch.
