Coronavirus: Dayton Foundation, United Way give out first COVID-19 response Fund grants

The Dayton Foundation and United Way of Greater Dayton have given out their first COVID-19 Response Fund grants.

The grants totaling $70,500 dollars went to five local non-profit organizations.

The grants were distributed to Senior Resource Connection, Hannah's Treasure Chest, Health Partners Free Clinic, Dayton Right to Life and The Victory Project.

The money will be used to deliver meals to seniors, make care packages for children in need, and provide supplies to those in need.

So far, The Dayton Foundation has collected nearly $700,000 in donations.
