DETAILED FORECAST:

TODAY: A light haze of wildfire smoke in the night sky will create a vibrant sunset across the Miami Valley, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs. Skies will be mainly clear through the night as temperatures drop quickly after sunset into the 60s. Lows overnight will fall to the upper 40s. The last time Dayton’s temperatures dropped into the 40s overnight was in early June.

TUESDAY: It will be a cool morning with temperatures rising from the 40s. It will be another beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. It will be clear and quiet Tuesday night with lows in the lower 50s.

WEDNESDAY: A dry day is expected, but there will be a few more clouds around. A slight wind shift will bring in some warmer temperatures with highs in the lower 80s. It will be a bit more humid. A passing light shower is possible at night as a cold front arrives.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny skies are expected with an occasional shower possible as a cold front passes through. It will be a bit breezy at times with the frontal passage. Highs will be cooler with temperatures in the 70s.

FRIDAY: Fall-like weather will return with temperatures only reaching the upper 60s. It will be dry with lots of sunshine.

SATURDAY: It will be cooler than normal with sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY: We’ll see sunny skies once again, but it won’t be as cool. Highs will be in the lower 70s.
