Colder air arrives, flurries possible Thursday

Near normal temperatures for today, but feeling much colder with winds gusting up to 30mph this afternoon.

Skies will continue to clear tonight as temperatures head toward an overnight low in the 20s, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

DETAILED FORECAST

Overnight: Blustery and cold through the night with mostly clear skies. Temperatures will drop through the 30s to an overnight low in the middle 20s, but wind chills will be in the teens. Clouds will build with a chance for a few flurries by morning, but no accumulation is expected.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy skies with passing flurries possible, mainly early. It will be colder with highs in the lower 30s, but breezy conditions will hold wind chills in the 20s.

Friday: Skies will be mostly sunny with some increasing clouds late. Highs will hold in the lower 30s with lows in the upper teens.

More rain to start the work-week in the Dayton area.

There is a change for a few isolated showers/storms this evening, according to Meteorologist Brett Collar. Rain is more likely to appear on Monday, and it will not be as hot this coming week.

An Air Quality Advisory has been issued from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday for Butler and Warren counties. People with respiratory diseases should avoid all outdoor exertion; everyone else else, especially children and the elderly, should limit outdoor exertion.
