City of Trotwood fire hydrant testing begins

TROTWOOD — Trotwood Fire and Rescue Department has started conducting hydrant testing.

Testing is done each year to inspect the hydrants and water system for proper operation.

The department recommends that you check your tap water for clarity before doing laundry during the tests.

They say residents should “purchase a detergent with rust removing agents and follow the cleaning instructions.”

Testing will be completed for the city of Trotwood by May 31.
