City of Dayton extends deadline for 2020 tax filing

DAYTON — The city of Dayton extended the 2020 tax year filing deadline to May 17.

Tax filing extensions were made by the state of Ohio and the IRS, causing some local cities including Dayton to follow.

Taxpayers do not need to take any special action to take advantage of the extension, the city stated in a media release.

The due date for the first quarter 2021 estimated payment remains April 15, 2021.
