Showers, storms this evening; dry to start workweek

Showers and a few storms continue through the evening, some of which could give way to heavy downpours, lightning and thunder, and possibly gusty winds, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. Past sunset it should begin to dry out.

DETAILED FORECAST

Tonight: It will dry out overnight with temperatures dropping into the upper 40s.

Monday: A few clouds will be around to start the day, then there will be more sunshine in the afternoon. It'll be a cooler day with highs in the middle 60s.

Tuesday: Sunshine returns with highs in the lower 70s.

Wednesday: Most of the day is dry with a few clouds. Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s. The chance for rain returns late Wednesday into Thursday.

Thursday: Rain showers are expected, with maybe a few storms. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Friday: A dry start is expected, but the chance for rain returns in the evening. Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s.
