Carillon Park Tree of Light assembly underway

DAYTON — Preparations are underway for the 2017 edition of the Carillon Park Tree of Light as crews arrived Tuesday to begin assembling the 200 foot Christmas tree that will tower over the Dayton skyline.

More than 20,000 lights and nearly 100 strands will make up the tree.

The Deeds Carillon, a beloved bell tower, is one of Dayton's best-known landmarks and the largest carillon in Ohio.

News Center 7’s Kate Bartley and Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini will be emceeing the tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m.
