Car with dog inside stolen from Centerville BP gas station

CENTERVILLE — A car with a dog inside was stolen from a Centerville gas station and now Centerville police are looking for the two women believed to be involved, police said.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. Thursday to the BP station at the corner of Wilmington Pike and Clyo Road after receiving a call that a Toyota Corolla was stolen with the pet inside, Centerville Police said.

Investigators found the stolen car around 5 a.m. on Thomas Payne Parkway with flat tires and the dog barking outside the car, officers said.

The dog was safe and has since been reunited with its owner.

Police are working to gather surveillance footage of the car theft.
