Car crashes following pursuit with OSHP, driver flees scene on foot

Dispatchers confirmed that the search for the suspect who fled the scene of the crash on I-75 southbound is not currently active.

Officials believe they have identified the man, but no arrests have been made at this time.

FIRST REPORT:

A car has crashed on I-75 southbound following a pursuit by the Ohio State Highway Patrol around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver of a maroon Lexis was reported to have fled the scene of the crash on foot down Lyons Rd.

Montgomery County Dispatch told News Center 7 that the driver of the vehicle is a 5′6 Hispanic male wearing a red hoody.

Dispatchers confirmed that troopers are searching for him with a drone, but he is possibly located at Autumn Woods Apartments.

Medics were called to the scene of the crash, but it is not known if there were any injuries or how many people were in the vehicle.

There are currently no details on what started the pursuit.
