BMV issues warning on postcard scam

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is asking people to look out for fraudulent postcards that have been sent to residents across the state.

The scam postcards say a person’s drivers license or identification card has expired and direct to processes to have them corrected.

In a Facebook post, the Ohio BMV points out the number of grammatical errors in the text of the card.

Additionally, the postcard prompts residents to visit an unofficial website. The Ohio BMV wants residents to be aware that the official BMV website is bmv.ohio.gov.
