UPDATE: ‘All Clear’ given after threat delays Bethel HS Homecoming game

Deputies have given the “all clear” after a threat delayed the Homecoming events and football game at Bethel High School.

Lt. Chris Bobb, of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies received the call about a threat being made towards the stadium around 6:30 p.m.

Bobb said deputies searched the school and stadium grounds and did not find anything suspicious.

The incident is under investigation.

INITIAL REPORT:

Bethel Local Schools are delaying the start of their Homecoming festivities and football game due to a reported threat to the event.

School officials posted a statement on social media stating that “all students, staff and fans are safe and have exited the stadium.”

Miami County dispatchers said law enforcement agencies were on scene and assessing the situation.
