Bengals greats unite for music video remake ahead of AFC Championship game

CINCINNATI — Bengals greats Ickey Woods, Mike Martin and Ira Hillary are doing their part to get Cincinnati fans excited for this Sunday’s ACF Championship game.

The three attended the Prime Sports Bar Wednesday night for a new music video shoot.

Martin told our news partners at WCPO that they were shooting a remake of the “Who Dey” music video that was created before their 1988-89 Super Bowl appearance.

“We’re passing the torch,” Martin said.

Jim Foster, a longtime Bengals fan, told the station that the remake was for those who “didn’t get to experience 1981 and 1988.”

For Martin, the shoot was also a way to bring awareness to the Marcus Martin Foundation. The foundation is in memory of his son, Marcus, who died from a pulmonary embolism in 2014, according to WCPO.

“I love these guys. They love my son. Whenever I say hey, we’re doing something for Marcus. They come out. They come out. I’m really proud to call us a brotherhood. That’s what we are,” Martin said.

The music video is set to be released Friday.

The Bengals will take on the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday on WHIO-TV. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
