‘Bee Delay’ halts start of Cincinnati Reds game

CINCINNATI — A bee delay halted the start of the Cincinnati Reds game this afternoon.

The game was scheduled to see the first pitch at 12:35 p.m., however a swarm of bees behind home plate delayed the start, according to people attending the game.

“Today’s game is being delayed due to bees,” a message read on the outfield board read.

The first pitch ended up going out just before 1 p.m.
