Update: Suspect arrested in Linden Avenue Dollar General robbery

UPDATE @ 9 p.m.:

A 23-year-old Dayton man is facing two counts of aggravated robbery stemming from an incident Monday, Dayton Municipal Court records show.

Cario L. Daniels is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail, awaiting an arraignment Tuesday.

UPDATE @ 4:25 p.m. (Feb. 15):

The suspect from the Linden Avenue Dollar General robbery on Monday has been arrested and is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications, according to Dayton police.

We are working to learn the robbery suspect’s name.

UPDATE @ 4:15 p.m. A gunman grabbed cash in the robbery of the Dollar General on Linden Avenue, Dayton police investigators said.

He took an undetermined amount of cash and left in a getaway car, police said. It’s not clear whether the robber was alone or had an accomplice.

No shots were fired and injuries were reported.

The description of the robber was not immediately available.

FIRST REPORT

Police are responding to reports of an armed robbery at a Dollar General.

The robbery was reported around 3:45 p.m. at the store in the 2800 block of Linden Avenue in Dayton.

Initial reports indicate the robber jumped over the counter then ran on foot.
