Do you recognize armed man who robbed Clayton Dollar General?

CLAYTON — UPDATE @ 3:07 p.m. 

Clayton police Detective Shawn Schutte released photo of an armed suspect who robbed the Dollar General there today. 

If you recognize him, call Clayton police at 937-836-3500, ext. 119.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall; weighing 160 pounds; and having dread locks to his chest. The suspect was wearing all black clothing; black work gloves; and a blue baseball-style cap with red bill, red trim and white triangle logo.

He ran out the door.

UPDATE @ 2:25 p.m. 

A Dollar General store in Clayton currently displays a sign informing customers they are closed following a report of an armed robbery Tuesday afternoon.

Clayton police declined to provide additional details at the scene.

About an hour after the robbery was reported, a store in Dayton was also robbed at gunpoint. It was not immediately clear if the two incidents were connected.

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General at 8126 North Main Street in Clayton around 12:50 p.m. when employees reported the robbery.

Reports indicate a man entered the store and displayed a gun before fleeing the area. The employees locked the doors of the business after the robbery, according to dispatch records.
