Three area Vietnam veterans will be honored Thursday as part of the Ford Oval of Honor program that "recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an uncommon commitment to serve and defend this country."

Local Dayton Area Ford Dealers are demonstrating how much the sacrifice and valor of the three is appreciated by sharing their stories, saluting their courage and celebrating their remarkable achievements.

Following the Ford Oval of Honor, The Living History Film Series event for June will feature the Ken Burns documentary The Vietnam War, courtesy of ThinkTV, at the Air Force Museum Theatre.

The 2018 Living History Film Series is presented by Gold Sponsor Cassano's Pizza King and supported by Holiday Inn Dayton-Fairborn and the law firm Taft. Combining film screenings with dynamic speakers, veterans and film makers we bring aviation history to life for our visitors.

How to Go

What: Ford Oval of Honor program, followed by Living History Film Series

Where: Air Force Museum Theatre: Located inside the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

When: The documentary will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (doors open at 6 p.m.)
