DAYTON — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Dayton Police Department are asking the public for help identifying a suspect who robbed a letter carrier.
The armed robbery took place June 7 around 5:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of Kipling Drive, according to police.
The suspect showed a handgun and stole postal property, police said.
Police say the suspect is a 20-year-old man, 5′7″ to 5′8″ tall, who was wearing a red and black hoodie, black shorts, and gold-colored shoes.
The The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information that could help lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say “law enforcement.”
Police said all information will be kept confidential.
