1 taken to hospital after house fire in Dayton over the weekend

DAYTON — One person was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in Dayton Saturday.

Firefighters were called to battle the fire in the 2300 block of Mayfair Road.

According to a spokesperson for the Dayton Fire Department, firefighters found a person inside of the home who was taken to a local hospital.

The person’s condition is unknown at this time.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental by the DFD Investigations Unit, the spokesperson said.

The preliminary damage estimate for the fire is $22,500 in structure and contents.
