1 killed in single-vehicle crash in Dayton, police say

DAYTON — One person is confirmed to be dead in a fatal one-vehicle crash in Dayton Monday afternoon, according to Dayton Police.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the intersection of E. Third Street and Linden Avenue around 2:31 p.m.

A pick-up truck crashed into a telephone pole, according to pictures and video from the scene.

The driver was alone and pronounced dead at the scene, officers told News Center 7.

No other vehicles were involved.

Both directions of E. Third Street and Linden Avenue are shut down at this time.
