UPDATE: Dayton man ID’d as victim of deadly pedestrian crash in Harrison Twp. Friday morning

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 1:25 p.m.:

A Dayton man has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Harrison Twp. early Friday morning.

Nathaniel Stewart, 21, was identified as the man killed in the crash in the 4400 block of North Main Street, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said in a media release. Stewart’s cause and manner of death are still under investigation and have not been determined.

The crash was reported around 2:40 a.m. on North Main Street near Nottingham Road.

Deputies responded and found a man, later identified as Stewart, unresponsive in the roadway. He was later pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said in a media release.

The vehicle that hit Stewart did not remain on the scene and fled before deputies arrived.

Deputies said they are looking for a dark-colored SUV type of vehicle that is between the 1999 and 2006 model years, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban.
