KETTERING — The Kettering VFW Post 9927 announced it is seeking donations ahead of its first-ever Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Event this year.

The event features a hog roast, craft fair and raffle to raise money for the Dayton VA Medical Center PTSD Clinic.

Event proceeds will help with in-patient treatment. While a veteran is in the program, he or she is unable to leave the VA grounds or go to work, which is financially difficult for them and their families, according to the VFW.

Tax-deductible donations can be sent to: Attn: PTSD Event, Kettering VFW Post 9927, 3316 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429.
