HAMILTON TWP., WARREN COUNTY — Because of a main break on Monday morning, the Warren County Water and Sewer Department issued a boil water advisory to some customers in Hamilton Township.
The department wrote:
“The affected service area is east of Hopkins Road, south of Ohio 22/U.S. 3., west of Zoar Road and north of E. Foster Maineville Road, including all properties that may have lost water pressure for any period of time. The boil water advisory will last a minimum of 24 hours.
We hereby advise residents to take either of the following precautions:
1. During this advisory, those customers affected may assure purity of their water by boiling vigorously for at least two minutes.
2. Utilize bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes.
We are conducting water sampling in the affected area at this time. This boil advisory will remain in effect until the results of the water samples are obtained. When the water has been determined to be safe (coliform negative), we will issue an All Clear Advisory.
This is purely a precautionary measure. The likelihood of contamination occurring is extremely minimal.
If you have questions, you may contact the Warren County Water and Sewer Department at 513-695-1377 during the hours of 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.”
