Homeless man jailed in attempt to break into high school

Dayton police stopped a man in his attempt to break into Chaminade Julienne High School.

Around 8:20 p.m. May 18, Dayton police responded to the school at 505 S. Ludlow St. for a break-in attempt.

Officers found Sean F. Stevens, 42, reportedly with a hand on a padlock and tools in his hand.

He’s in Montgomery County Jail on charges of attempted breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools.

The man is accused of trying to break into an old electric building at the school.

Stevens was also reportedly found with two grams of marijuana in his pocket. He did not make it into the building. He told police he is homeless.
