UPDATE: 1 in custody after high-speed pursuit, connected to Dayton shooting, ends on NB I-675

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:20 a.m.:

A high-speed pursuit reported after a shooting in Dayton has ended with one person in custody on northbound I-675 near Wilmington Pike, according to dispatch records.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports the right lane is blocked on the highway for the investigation.

The pursuit started after officers were called to a shooting in the 600 block of West Riverview Avenue in Dayton. A victim was reportedly taken to the hospital, however their condition wasn’t immediately known.

The pursuit was reported on parts of southbound I-75, then northbound on I-675, with speeds over 100 mph, according to emergency scanner traffic.

FIRST REPORT

Multiple agencies were reportedly involved in a high-speed pursuit through parts of I-75 and I-675 after a third morning shooting in Dayton Friday morning.

Officers were called to the 600 block of West Riverview Avenue in Dayton around 10:30 a.m. after the shooting was reported.

Police reported they were involved in a pursuit of a possible suspect vehicle that started traveling on southbound I-75. Reports indicate the pursuit was reported last on NB I-675 near U.S. 35. Details about how the pursuit ended or if anyone was taken into custody were not immediately known.

The condition of the victim was also not immediately known.
