UPDATE: Amber Alert for abducted 1-year-old Youngstown girl cancelled

YOUNGSTOWN — UPDATE @ 12 p.m.:

Authorities have cancelled a statewide Amber Alert for an abducted 1-year-old Youngstown girl after she was found safe, according to officials and CBS affiliate WKBN-TV in Youngstown.

The station reports that police have not made any arrests and additional details about the investigation were not released.

The alert was issued early Friday morning after Nova Sheridan was taken from her mother’s home in Youngstown late Thursday night, according to reports.

Authorities identified the suspect as Kahlil Sheridan, 23, the child’s biological father.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued overnight for an abducted 1-year-old girl from Youngstown who was allegedly taken by her biological father who broke into the mother’s home.

The victim, Nova Sheridan, is described as a black girl, with black hair, brown eyes, 24 inches tall, and weighs 35 pounds, according to officials. She was last seen wearing only a diaper, officials said.

Kahlil Sheridan, 23, was identified by authorities as the suspect. He is described as a black male, with black hair, brown eyes, around 6-feet 2-inches tall, and weighs 210 pounds.

They are believed to be traveling in a 2008 dark blue Volvo S60 car with Ohio temporary license plate K418739.

If you see Nova, Kahili, or the vehicle they are believed to be in, you’re asked to call 911 immediately.
