DAYTON — A driver trying to get away from police caused a crash at a Dayton intersection that injured three people, according to investigators.

The crash was reported Riverside Drive and East Siebenthaler Avenue around 1 p.m. Friday.
A car that took off from police crashed into a minivan, trapping and injuring three people inside the van, investigators told News Center 7. The three people inside the minivan were rescued and taken to area hospitals with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Additional details about the investigation were not released.
