XENIA — A woman who allegedly stole and ate a bag of pistachios while inside a Walmart is accused of urinating in a police cruiser.
Shawna Hamblin, of Dayton, was arrested Aug. 19 after a loss prevention officer at Walmart on Hospitality Drive in Xenia spotted her eating the nuts and appearing intoxicated. She was also carrying a water bottle that police said contained liquor.
On the walk to the patrol car, the suspect said she would urinate in the officer’s cruiser. Once inside the car, Hamblin did urinate.
She is charged with shoplifting, disorderly conduct and having an open container of alcohol, according to a Xenia police report.
The loss prevention officer told Xenia police officers Hamblin is believed to be a suspect in a shoplifting two days prior at a Walmart in Beavercreek.
