Woman robbed at area Walmart

Police in Greenville are seeking the identities of three people who worked together to distract and older woman while she shopped at Walmart, according to a report by the Early Bird.

Surveillance video captured the theft, which happened the early evening Oct. 21 at the Walmart on Wagner Avenue.

The video shows the victim, an 83-year-old woman, was distracted by a man and woman while a second female grabbed the purse from the woman’s cart and walked away. Moments later, surveillance video of the exit and parking lot show the trio hurrying out of the store and into a dark-colored two-door sedan.
