DAYTON — The man accused of fatally shooting a Fairborn hotel clerk is now charged in an armed robbery that happened earlier that day.

Michael McLendon, 24, was indicted for complicity to commit aggravated robbery for a crime that happened March 7 at the Ohio Loan Company, 3028 Salem Ave. in Dayton, according to a spokesman from the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office. The charge carries a three-year firearm specification.

McLendon, who is being held on $1M bond in the Greene County Jail, is scheduled to be arraigned May 1 in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

McLendon already was charged with the March 7 fatal shooting of 29-year-old Andrew Day, of Fairborn, who was shot and killed while working at the Hampton Inn, 2550 Paramount Place in Fairborn.
