DAYTON — A woman was arrested after she admitted to hitting her son in the face with a meat tenderizer during an argument.
Brettina Young-Patrick, 51, of Dayton, faces a potential felonious assault charge following the Friday afternoon incident.
At 4:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in the 1500 block of Bancroft Street on reports of an assault.
Young-Patrick was found with blood on her shirt and arm, according to a Dayton Police Department incident report.
She told police the blood was her 20-year-old son's.
A meat tenderizer was found near Young-Patrick at the scene. She told investigators her son was "mouthing off" to her and when an argument escalated, she felt threatened and hit him with the kitchen utensil.
