Police investigating after woman shot or stabbed in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — A woman was taken to the hospital after a woman was either shot or stabbed in the 1200 block of Selma Road, according to Springfield police on the scene.

Emergency crews originally responded to a report of a disturbance in that area at 1:11 a.m., where they found a woman who had a wound in her lower back. The wound was not life threatening, and the woman was taken to the hospital.

Officers have detained two people for questioning, although those two people are not under arrest.
