Police: No stabbing, kidnapping at Dayton Cincinnati Pike home

MIAMI TWP. — UPDATE @ 8:43 a.m.:

Police called to a reported stabbing and kidnapping on Dayton Cincinnati Pike in Miami Twp. determined that “no such incident” happened.

Officers responded to a home in the 10000 block of Dayton Cincinnati Pike around midnight Monday, according to a press release.

They quickly determined that no stabbing or kidnapping happened.

Officers spoke with the man who reported the incident and determined he was having mental health issues.

The man was taken to Kettering Medical Center for a psychological evaluation, according to the release.

INITIAL REPORT:

Multiple police units are on the scene of a reported stabbing near the Deer Run Lodge in the 10000 block of Dayton Cincinnati Pike.

According to dispatch records, a man and a woman reported being held up and said that the man had been stabbed.

Our crew on the scene reported seeing several police cruisers.
