Ex-pharmacist accused of taking breast cancer drugs, powerful antibiotics, other meds

A pharmacist was indicted Monday on a dozen felony drug charges.

Steven Joseph Hogel, 34, of Miami Twp., will be arraigned Sept. 3 for 12 counts of deception to obtain dangerous drug charges, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Hogel’s license has been suspended, according to Ohio Board of Pharmacy online records.

The indictment alleges that Hogel obtained multiple drugs between Feb. 20, 2017, and Dec. 20, 2018, including breast cancer medications, anti-inflammatory drugs, powerful antibiotics and a drug to treat erectile dysfunction.

He is not in custody and was summoned to appear for his arraignment.
