From the moment her body camera turned on, Xenia Police Division officer Ellyn Board had a lot of questions for the driver who crashed into the rear of her cruiser.

Police identified the driver as 40-year-old Nicholas Bosier, who struck Board’s cruiser the morning of March 26 while she was running radar on North Monroe Street.

“On a nice quiet street on a bright sunny day, you’re not expecting that to happen. But it’s always a possibility,” Xenia police Capt. Gary Johnson said.

The driver told Board he was on the way to his grandmother’s house nearby.

Seconds later, Board found something.

“Beer cans belong to you, I guess?” Board said to the driver.

Then, the body cam showed the driver was having trouble.

“All right. Wake up, buddy. ... He just passed out on me,” Board said.

The driver opened his eyes seconds later. Then out of his mouth came an admission.

“I was drinking. I’m not going to lie,” he told the officer.

They both went to the hospital to be checked out.

Bosier, of Jamestown, was charged with OVI and having an open container.

According to Xenia Municipal Court records, he did not appear for his arraignment scheduled for today.
