3 indicted in Englewood Verizon store armed robbery

ENGLEWOOD — Three males were indicted in an armed robbery earlier this month at an Englewood Verizon store.

Demond Harris Jr., 19, and Demetrius Dellvon Bell, 21, were charged with aggravated robbery, carrying concealed weapons an improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Harris was also charged with having weapons while under disability.

Lamonte Hancock Jr., 20, was indicted on carrying concealed weapons and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

On Nov. 8, Englewood police responded to the South Main Street Verizon store on a report of a robbery.

Two males with their faces covered went into the store with handguns and ordered the employee to empty the store’s safe of products and cash, according to a press release.

They fled in a vehicle that was waiting for them, driven by a third suspect.

The Dayton Police Department contacted Englewood officers the next day after receiving reports of multiple people trying to sell a large of amount of new phones in the 1200 block of Wayne Avenue.

Dayton police detained group, later identified as Harris, Bell and Hancock.

All three suspects are scheduled be to arraigned on Nov. 21.
