House fire near Hollansburg under investigation

Firefighters from Hollansburg encountered a house engulfed in flames early Saturday morning.

The cause of the fire in the 2500 block of Hollansburg-Richmond Road is under investigation. In addition, a truck fire that happened around the same time at 4 a.m. near the village park is under investigation.

It's unclear if the truck fire is related to the house fire.

No one was living in the house, according to homeowner Tyler Greer.

Greer said someone broke into the house and set it on fire.

The state Fire Marshal's Office has been called to assist in determining the cause of the blaze, which Greer said caused an estimated $100,000 in damages.
