Driver: 'No direct memory' of Clearcreek Twp. crash

The driver suspected of causing the July 22 crash in Clearcreek Twp. resulting in the death of an Indiana couple "has no direct memory of the crash or occurrences prior to it," according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

No charges have been filed against Jacqueline Montgomery, 45, of Leesburg, Ohio, but a video obtained from a homeowner living along Ohio 73 near the crash "clearly" shows her continuing from southbound Township Line Road onto eastbound Ohio 73 without stopping at a stop sign at the intersection, according to the report.

Montgomery's Hyundai Elantra then collided with an eastbound lumber truck. Robert and Margaret Large, both 66 and of North Vernon, Ind., were killed in the second of two collisions involving the truck, according to the report.

"Charges will be supplemented after prosecution reviews the case," according to the report obtained Tuesday through a public records request.
