UPDATE @ 8:05 p.m.
Police are looking for the suspect who opened fire on a man and a woman outside a Prince George’s County high school. The woman is dead. The man suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder, CBS affiliate WJZ is reporting.
It happened around 4:40 p.m. Thursday in the back lot of High Point High School in Beltsville.
Police believe a woman picking up her children from school was confronted by a man who known to her. The two then got into an argument.
Another man who saw what was happening tried to intervene. That’s when police say the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the man in his shoulder. He is expected to survive.
Police believe the suspect then shot the woman several times and fled the scene in a passenger vehicle. The woman died from her injuries. Police say the shootings — believed to be domestic-related — were caught on school surveillance cameras. No children were involved or harmed, and that there was never an active shooter inside the school, WJZ reported.
High Point was put on lockdown during the incident, which has been lited.
Police are expected to provide another update later Thursday night.

One person has been killed and another injured in a shooting at High Point High School in Prince George’s County on Thursday afternoon, CBS affiliate WJZ is reporting.
It happened about 4:40 p.m. in the 3600 block of Powder Mill Road in Beltsville. Students are currently on lockdown in the school.
The Prince George’s County Police Department says two adults between 40 and 50 years old were shot — one fatally — in what appears to be a domestic-related incident.
