A 12-year-old Urbana boy is in good condition at Dayton Children’s Hospital after being struck by a car at the intersection of Orange Street and Harmon Avenue while riding his bike on Wednesday, Urbana Police Sgt. Josh Jacobs said.
The child was northbound on Orange Street when he reportedly ran a stop sign and was struck by a 1999 Nissan Altima driven by Dawn Detwiler, who was westbound on Harmon Avenue.
The child was taken by CareFlight to the hospital where he was reportedly treated for a broken leg and other minor injuries.
