NEW MIAMI — A New Miami man who called 911 for help ended up in the county jail after deputies found a stash of drugs in the freezer, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday morning, Jesse Gaines called 911 to report a female who would not leave a property in the 1400 block of Wichita Drive in New Miami.
Once inside the home to retrieve property, deputies were made aware of a bag in the freezer that appeared to contain drugs. Then agents with the BURN Task Force were called, got a warrant and searched the house.
Located in the residence was $13,000, a money counter, seven pounds of solid hash, 322 vials of solid hash, 1500 THC vape cartridges, a Glock 19 handgun with 50 round drum magazine and a Intratec Tech 9 pistol along with various other drug paraphernalia, according to deputies.
Gaines, 22, was arrested and charged felony trafficking in drugs and felony possession of drugs. More charges will be presented at grand jury pending lab results.
