3 arrested, heroin seized in Dayton traffic stop

Three people were arrested on potential drug charges during a traffic stop in what police consider a high illicit drug activity area on the west side of the city.

Officers stopped a silver 2004 Ford Taurus in the 2900 block of Riverside Drive at 4:17 p.m. Saturday on alleged minor traffic violations, according to the Dayton police report.

Police recognized the front passenger, Travis Clark, 31, as a man who has a history of going to Dayton to buy heroin, according to the report.

The rear passenger, Casey Goodrich, 26, had an active arrest warrant out of Highland County, according to the report.

The driver, Taylor Skinner, 24, was found to have capsules and a syringe full of suspected heroin in her pocket, according to the report.

Nearly 8 grams of heroin was seized, and the three suspects are being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of drug possession and loitering to engage in illicit drug activity.
