Area teacher, ex-husband accused of child rape

A local elementary school teacher was jailed and accused of rape of a child under the age of 13, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition.

Lori Ann Anderson, 50, of Cridersville in Auglaize County, was arrested Friday on multiple charges that include obstructing justice and obstructing official business.

Anderson is a teacher at Cridersville Elementary.

We’ve learned that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation. The victim is said to be a 12-year-old child and the incidents are alleged to have occurred between 1997 and 1999.

The Auglaize County Court was contacted by the victim in 2011, and in turn, a special prosecutor with the Ohio Attorney General’s office launched the investigation.

Authorities tell us they are only aware of one victim.

A check of Auglaize County court records shows Anderson was indicted on 25 total charges. She appeared before an Auglaize County judge Monday, who entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf.

Anderson’s bond was set at $150,000. She posted 10 percent of that amount and was released from jail by Monday afternoon.

Her ex-husband, Charles Clayton Wycuff, 53, has also been indicted and jailed on 53 criminal charges including rape involving force, coercion and drugs, according to jail and court records. Wycuff also faces charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. He remains in the county jail on a $500,000 bond.

Wycuff and Anderson dissolved their marriage in 2003, according to court records.

Our reporter tried to obtain a comment from Wapakoneta City Schools Superintendent Keith Horner, who is said to be out of town. An assistant told our reporter there would be no comment and the investigation is ongoing.
