71-year-old man killed in Riverside crash identified

RIVERSIDE — A 71-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian strike in Riverside Wednesday evening, according to police.

John Myers, 71, of Dayton was pronounced dead at the scene and lived a short distance from where the crash happened.

Huber Heights Dispatch reported that police were called to the incident at Woodman Drive and Arcadia Boulevard around 8:20 p.m.

Police on scene said a pickup driver didn’t see the victim crossing the street. Myers was not using a crosswalk, police said.

Police are investigating if a citation will be issued.
