Coronavirus: Dayton Chamber of Commerce launches online PPE store for local businesses

DAYTON — A new online marketplace will connect Dayton-area businesses with Personal Protective Equipment providers as they reopened during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce announced a partnership with Miamisburg-based ecommerce business epluno to create the marketplace, named StaySafe Dayton, a chamber of commerce spokesperson said in a media release Friday.

Chamber members will have access and preferred pricing on PPE products like masks, face shields, alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer, and others, the spokesperson said. However the marketplace will be open to all regional businesses, regardless of membership within the chamber.

“We know our business community is working to open their doors responsibly, but one of their biggest needs is personal protection equipment and other tools necessary to enforce cleanliness and social distancing in the workplace,” Chris Kershner, executive vice president, of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce said in the release.

"Many of these supplies are being sold at high prices or are hard to find right now. We wanted to help alleviate that problem.”

The online store is available now through the chamber’s website at DaytonChamber.org.
