Report: The #1 Internet Provider in America

Customer satisfaction with internet service providers (ISPs) fell slightly in the latest report from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

ACSI's Telecommunications Study 2021-2022 ranked the ISPs based on how people who use the respective services feel about them.

Despite the overall drop of 1.5 points, the ISPs improved their scores from the previous survey in the areas of mobile app quality, store/service center courtesy and helpfulness as well as website satisfaction.

Report: Verizon Fios Is the Best Internet Service Provider

Here are some key findings in the report, which ranks ISPs on a 100-point scale:

  • With a score of 72, Verizon Fios regains the top spot after falling to second place in the last survey.
  • T-Mobile comes in second place and AT&T, which was #1 in the last survey, comes in at #3 this time.
  • Suddenlink (Altice USA) pulls up the rear with a score of 59.

When it comes to getting cheap internet, there are some things you should do before signing up with a new service provider.

Explore Your Options

Depending on where you live, your options may not be limited to only AT&T or Comcast.

T-Mobile and Verizon have jumped into the home internet market in a big way. T-Mobile Home Internet and Verizon LTE Home Internet may have competitive pricing in your area.

Compare Prices and Terms

Even if you have limited internet options, there are still ways to save. Start by searching for offers from competitors and call your existing provider to see if it can match the deal. Make sure you have your latest bill handy so you know exactly what you’re paying and can identify a real deal.
